ABOUT Sara Walton
Hi Ladies,
My name is Sara Walton and I am so excited about having the opportunity to instruct a Booty Camp Fitness because I love helping others achieve their fitness goals. Fitness outside with a Boot Camp atmosphere, how fun can you get?! Plus, I get to wear pink camouflage while preparing to look hot in a bikini!!
I Am an Absolute Believer in Fitness and Its Benefits
I started working out about 7 years ago. I always wanted to do fitness regularly but I just didn’t know how to make it a habit, so I hired a Personal Trainer and started participating in fitness classes at my local gym. After 6 weeks of working out 2-3X per week and eating healthy, I started noticing some ab definition and I was hooked!!!! I decided I wanted to become a fitness instructor after about 6 months of working out consistently firstly, because I wanted to motivate others to reach their goals and secondly, to get over my fear of speaking in front of large groups. I am an absolute believer in fitness and its benefits in self esteem, self respect and self knowledge. I hope that I can help others succeed at their goals and see results that they thought they could only dream of!!!
My passion for fitness stems from my own success story!! It has changed my life in so many positive ways and I know that it can change any woman’s life when they “just do it”!!!
Just Do It!!!
My fitness philosophy would have to be, if I’m allowed to use the Nike slogan… to Just Do It!!! The hardest part is just getting there because once you’re there, you’re glad you came!!! Once you’ve tackled the habit of doing it consistently then BE PRESENT in your workout to see better results!! Focus on the task you’re doing and your results will amaze you!!
Helping People Reach Their Personal Goals
For the Last 7 Years
I have a BSc. Honours Nutrition and Nutraceuticals from University of Guelph, RYT200 recognized by the Yoga Alliance and my Fitness Instructor Specialist certification. I’ve been teaching fitness for 4 years and I’ve done nutrition counseling for over 7 years, helping people reach their personal goals for the last 7 years.
Outside of Booty Camp
I love yoga, surfing, snowboarding (which I took up this year!!), running 5-10K, biking and spinning classes, and lifting weights. I’m hoping to start windsurfing this upcoming summer and to complete a Try-a-Tri!!
Realizing my passion for fitness, I quit my full time job and started a yoga studio, Soul Light Yoga and I also work part time at the Barrie Running Room. With little time left, outside of fitness, I like to travel, read and play guitar!!
