Samantha “Sammie” Kennedy is the personification of “living your dreams.” Considered one of the foremost Canadian female entrepreneurs, every day Sammie pursues her passion for fitness and enables other motivated women to do the same. Her legacy will likely lie with helping tens of thousands of women become healthier and more active, improving their overall quality of life.

It wasn’t an overnight process going from low body confidence to fitness model. In 2005, with no previous fitness or sports experience, Sammie committed to transforming her body to become leaner, healthier and sexier. After committing to workouts with a personal trainer and modifying her nutritional intake she became a competitive fitness model. So inspired by the positive impact that the trainer had on her own results, she too became a certified fitness professional. As a personal trainer for a popular fitness chain, she was ranked as the top five personal trainers across both Canada and the US in just a matter of months.

Sammie created Booty Camp Fitness in 2007 and in four short years has grown her business from two Toronto-based locations to now nearly 100 across Canada. Booty Camp has won numerous best business and best boot camp awards, including being ranked #1 Best Small Medium Employer in 2010.

Since creating Booty Camp, she’s gone on to author two books, The Ultimate Girl’s Guide to a Healthy and Sexy Booty and Booty Camp: It’s More than Just Movement, sharing her personal story, trials and tribulations. She’s also the star of three fitness home workout DVDs and is in preparation to shoot her fourth.

Outside of physical fitness, Sammie is committed to improving the quality of life for her fellow Canadians. Her company has collected over 4,000 lbs of food for the Salvation Army, has donated more than 100 hours sorting toys for Toy Mountain and has raised over $100,000 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
