Vancouver Booty Breaking World Record

VANCOUVER, BC June 2, 2009 – Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games local skier Ashleigh McIvor joins local boot camp instructor Crystal Eckenswiller and the women of Booty Camp Fitness Inc. (BCF) to break the Guinness World Record™ for the world’s longest marathon fitness class. Ms. Eckenswiller will need to instruct at least 24 hours of non-stop boot camp. The event will be kicking off on Friday June 5th, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday June 6th, 2009 at David Lam Park in Vancouver, British Columbia.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of this world record-breaking event,” says local Vancouver Olympic athlete Ashleigh McIvor. “Fitness is a huge part of my life and accomplishing this kind of fitness feat is such an amazing experience - it will be great to share this with other like-minded women.”
“We just launched our camps in a crowded Vancouver boot camp market, and this is a great way to show Vancouver and the World that Booty Camp is the world’s best” says Crystal Eckenswiller, Vancouver-based Elite Drill Instructor from Booty Camp Fitness who will be leading the workout. “Breaking this world record will be a great testament to the strength and perseverance of the Booty Camp and Vancouver women!”
The marathon session will be taking place on June 5th in David Lam Park at Pacific Boulevard and Drake Street. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. (PST) and continue for at least 24 hours in order to beat the current record.
