ABOUT Nina Slavkovic
Hello Ladies,
My name is Nina Slavkovic and I first started as a booty camp recruit in Sammie's Fall 2007 and Winter 2008 classes.
I am simply ecstatic about having the opportunity to instruct a Booty Camp Fitness because I love the idea of helping women look and feel as fantastic as this fitness program has made me feel! I cannot think of a more fun and productive way for women to transform their bodies and boost their energy in such a short period of time. I want to be there to inspire, challenge, and support each woman during the important time she chooses to invest in herself and her happiness, and to help her reach optimum results.
Booty Camp Fitness motivated me to stay focused!
I have been very interested in fitness since I was in High School. I explored Phys.Ed courses in Fitness Dynamics, as well as Sports Physiology, and I loved learning about the science of improving physical stamina and applying it to my own exercise regimen.
Although I became very active in High School and reached what I felt was my ideal physical condition, I lost sight of it when I became a University student, placing exercise last on my list of priorities. Finally, I made a conscious decision to “get back into shape” and registered for a Booty Camp Fitness, instructed by Sammie. The appealing outdoors quality, as well as the friendly, womens-only environment, attracted me mainly because I had failed to see any results simply by joining a co-ed gym. The energy and fun I experienced in the classes have really motivated me to stay focused on my fitness goals and keep improving my health!
Our Fitness Success Lies in Our Approach
My passion for women’s fitness stems from the fact that I am also a woman. I understand how easy it is for us to reflect on our body image in a negative light, and how difficult it is to attain and maintain a healthy physical condition. Women are structured and shaped differently from men, and our fitness success lies in our approach. I think that it is vital for women to not be intimidated by fitness, but to learn about their individual bodies and the various approaches available to them to lead a healthy life. Booty Camp Fitness did this for me!
My personal philosophy on fitness is that it is as fundamental to the body as it is to the mind. I truly believe that the value of fitness is not merely for aesthetic benefits and achieving whatever ones ideal body image is. Fitness is essential to keeping a balance in all things personal, such as health, nutritional habits, and emotions. All of these factors affect and are effected by ones lifestyle, and incorporating fitness is the most practical and efficient method for accomplishing this balance, as well as looking great!
In My Spare Time…
Aside from being a Booty Camp Fitness recruit, I love to stay active by engaging in recreational activities with my boyfriend, such as ice-skating, bike-riding, and tennis. Long and playful walks with my German Shepherd Dog also keep me moving. In addition, I enjoy swimming at my campus’ athletic facilities, and occasionally I sign up for fun but challenging activities, such as belly-dancing and the trampoline!
In my free time I like to hang out with my boyfriend, friends, dog, and family; go to live shows of my favourite music artists; cook and bake (or attempt to!); and attend any exciting cultural event going on in this wonderful city.
