About Cassie Morningstar

Hey Ladies,

I am super excited to put all my education and experience into practice as a Booty Camp Instructor. I am a certified Kinesiologist, and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in Kinesiology and Physical Education. From there I found a passion Personal Training. I truly believe with a little guidance and motivation, everyone can find their niche in the world of fitness, so I became a Personal Training Specialist through Can-Fit Pro. Though these are my credentials, I can ensure you that my passion for fitness and desire to assist other in the fitness goals, far outweighs my education. I want to show you some new and exciting programs, coach you through your success and help you reach your fitness goals.

Fitness is a Lifestyle

I have always been attracted to the challenge of sport and recreation. I was an active child, playing every organized sport I could, and always active outdoors. Growing into my adolescence I continued on this path, and into my teens maintained the same passion and desire to be active. I never had an issue with weight, or staying fit. In high school I found an interest in anatomy and human kinetics and decided that Kinesiology was the degree I wanted to pursue. Entering into university, I quickly realized that I was in for a challenging lifestyle transition. Preparing my own meals, finding new avenues to remain active, having a busier schedule and less focus on staying active resulted in some adverse effects. I gained 25 pounds in my first year of university, and 40 pounds total in my University career.

Seeing the weight I had gained and the effect it had on my physical, mental and social health, and combining that with the courses I was taking, I decided to take charge of my life.

I studied harder, explored new techniques, researched theories, and started a new life focused on my health and wellness. At that point I realized that our health and overall wellness is the one thing that we have the most control over in life. It’s the one thing that no one can take from us or do for us. We have the opportunity to create our own destiny when it comes to our personal health and wellness, and that was exactly what I set out to do.

Fitness played a huge role in my transition. It was at this point in my life that I introduced myself to group exercise, and a scheduled gym routine combining resistance training, cardio and flexibility. I explored the variety of disciplines fitness had to offer and realized that everyone has their own preferences and niche in fitness; they just need to take the time and effort to discover it.

I found my niche in fitness. It was a niche I was able to embrace and enjoy because it was my own personal preference and approach to my goal of a healthy and fit lifestyle.

I lost 25 pounds that year. I went on to play my most competitive year of soccer, run my first 5km and 10 km races, and train for a Fitness Show; competing in the Fitness Model and Bikini Model categories. I find joy in continually challenging myself, and my next goal is to run a half marathon!

Reach Your Fitness Goals

The one thing that I find more joy in than setting goals for myself is assisting others in their own fitness goals. I enjoy educating individuals on all aspects of a healthy lifestyle and helping people create those small steps on their journey to their ultimate goals. I can’t wait to be part of your success!!

The thing that excites me the most about joining the Booty Camp Fitness Team is being part of a company with such a pure understanding of women’s fitness and strong core values supporting the program. I feel that fitness should always be fun, and working for a company who shares the desire to create a comfortable and enjoyable fitness environment for all women excites me. Fitness can be intimidating for a lot of women, especially with all of the stigmas and myths that surround the industry, so creating a program that encourages women, supports women and coaches women to their success in a comfortable environment is extremely important to me. I value this sincere approach to women’s fitness. As a woman, I find that there are very apparent roadblocks set up by society that discourages or intimidates women from becoming physically active. Women are often expected to care for the family before themselves, there are many myths and stigmas that surround women and exercise that can cause confusion and society tends to depict the perfect woman in an unrealistic manner which can be very discouraging just to name a few. It is my goal to help as many women as possible break past those road blocks and live a fit and healthy lifestyle. Fitness not only helps enhance our appearance, but we can also benefit from how fitness can positively affect our mental and social health. So Ladies, let’s work together and show everyone what a real women is capable of.

Challenge Your Abilities

As I mentioned before, fitness should be enjoyable. I truly believe that with a little time and exploration, everyone can find their comfort in fitness. Once you find what you enjoy and start feeling and seeing the effects of your efforts, you have no limits in what you can accomplish. Continue to set your bar high and challenge your abilities.

With my passion for fitness and my desire to assist others in reaping the benefits of fitness, I am excited to be a Booty Camp Instructor. I want to help you see your potential and provide you with a fun and exciting environment to do so. I look forward to meeting each of you and can’t wait to get started!

Outside of Booty Camp...

I have many athletic hobbies. I enjoy all organized sports, but mostly play Soccer and Football. I enjoy attending fitness classes and learning some new exercises and trying new disciplines. When I’m enjoying leisure time, I also enjoy biking, hiking, canoeing, running, snowboarding, and water sports such as waterskiing.

In my life outside of fitness, I have many hobbies; this comes with my desire to constantly try new things. Some of the things I enjoy doing are snowmobiling, riding my motorcycle, camping, playing guitar, singing, painting, canning (yes, homemade goodness from scratch) and doing puzzles! I can honestly say that my life inside and outside of fitness is a lot of fun!
