My name is Kim and I am so excited to share my passion for fitness with you!
I am very enthusiastic about health and fitness and becoming a certified Personal Trainer through Can Fit Pro has allowed me to take this passion to the next level and help you achieve your goals.
I have always loved fitness; in the beginning it was a way to get myself in shape. Then, I discovered how much better I feel when I work out. Both physically and mentally, my energy levels improved dramatically, stress levels decreased and I am a happier person in general. My passion for fitness is what inspired me to get my certification; I wanted a rewarding career I’m passionate about. I am so excited to be running a Booty Camp because I get so motivated by helping other women reach their goals and feel better about themselves.
I believe everyone, regardless of their fitness level, can continue to improve themselves. I started running at a young age recreationally. Then I discovered this was a sport I could constantly challenge myself with. Always having a new goal to work towards keeps me motivated to train hard. At the peak of my running career a stress fracture in my tibia resulted in 12 weeks off running completely; I thought my world would end. Instead, I turned the situation into a positive event and challenged myself to try something new. Swimming! Something I had not done since high school. It surprised me how much I enjoyed it. As much as an individual sport running can be, I discovered the motivation a run group can provide is beneficial. Sometimes you just need that extra ‘push’ to get out the door, especially during the winter months. This is why Booty Camp is such a great way to get in shape. You get the motivation from the other amazing women in the group AND you get to have fun so it doesn’t feel like work. So come out and challenge yourself with something new!
My fitness philosophy is that you have to look at it as a lifestyle, not just one goal you want to achieve. Sure, goal setting is a big part of it, but having continuous realistic short term goals will help you achieve that longer term goal. Once you change your mind set you will be surprised at how much you enjoy fitness and how it affects you positively. You don’t have much if you don’t have your health!
Women’s fitness is more than just physical appearance; it’s about building self-confidence, lowering stress levels and living a positive lifestyle. Women are busy and the added pressure society can have is exhausting if you don’t make time for your wellbeing. I know how great I feel when I am active and I want all women to feel the same way. I am so happy to be instructing a Booty Camp because it gives me the opportunity to get women of all fitness levels excited about fitness!
I love to stay active by going to the gym, running, swimming, and just about any activity that involves being outdoors! I love to eat just as much as I like to workout so cooking and trying new recipes is something I love. Spending time with family and friends is important to me when I’m not working my full time job. I love to continuously learn and take new courses for self-improvement both personally and professionally.
