My name is Hiliary Neudorf. I am a Fitness Instructor Specialist and a proud graduate of the Booty Camp program. My training and experience as a fellow recruit has fueled my passion to help other women to learn to love their bodies.
I first became excited about fitness in my first year of university at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ont. Before going away to school, I was told that as a girl, I should prepare to gain “the freshman 15” during my first year. It was then that I quickly realized that it was going to be important to be active and make healthy food choices in my new life away from home. I had never worked out in a gym a day in my life before university. But the facilities they had and the people I met at the university gym made me LOVE working out. I met some wonderful people who all shared the same goals and passions as I did for keeping fit and having fun!
In university, my workouts consisted of the elliptical, treadmill, some free weights and weight machines. The gym was convenient and worked with my unpredictable schedule. Now with a more flexible schedule, I have been working on finding new and exciting ways to make working out fun. Like joining Booty Camp and learning how to golf and ski.
Working out has become an important part of my everyday life. I’ve found that the secret to staying motivated in fitness is to continue to challenge yourself to try new things and to be active in a group setting. Working out with others not only makes keeping fit a lot of fun, but it is a great way to meet new people and develop new friendships with those who share your passion.
I am SO excited about being a part of the Booty Camp Fitness team because I love working out and having fun with others while doing it! It makes working out something to look forward to instead of something to dread. My passion for women’s fitness is to help women to love their bodies! Keeping fit and staying active has allowed me to gain the self-confidence and positive energy I have today. Simply knowing that those benefits are achievable for others, motivates me to help other women find the same happiness, excitement and love for fitness that I have gained.
What goals do I have for Booty Camp? To help you stay motivated to achieve your personal fitness goals while inspiring a healthier lifestyle and creating a positive attitude and self image of yourself.
Overall, my personal philosophy on fitness is that it is an essential part of all weight loss regimens, and in keeping fit for your everyday life. The best part of working out, I believe, is that you can truly reap the rewards of your hard work. But working out on its own is not enough. Healthy food choices are key! These choices begin at the grocery store, and continue when you’re choosing a snack, eating out at a restaurant, or making meals at home. Making healthy food choices a part of your everyday life, combined with working out for an hour three times a week, I believe, are the ingredients to achieving your fitness goals.
Growing up, I did not play a lot of sports. Other than activities offered in school, I wasn’t very active; only recently have found my passion for the outdoors and sports. In the warmer months of the year, I am now improving my swing on the golf course and in the baseball diamond. But in the cooler months I am now facing my fears atop the slopes at Blue Mountain. Yes, admittedly my athleticism in sports is still a work in progress, but I have so much fun trying new things and challenging myself, that I just can’t get enough! I now find myself asking, “What should I try next?”
Outside of fitness, I love spending time with my friends and going shopping! Oh, how I love to shop! Ladies, you know what I’m talking about! I also have a career in Finance and I am working towards my MBA and CMA part-time. So, as you can tell, I love a good challenge!
