Hey Ladies,

I am a certified Spin Instructor via Madd Dogg Athletics, I have also been certified in the Realryder cycling program. I am a certified Can Fit Fitness Instructor Specialist. I have my First Aid training as well as updated CPR training.

Exercise for Confidence

I was always active in dance training growing up, but I was never truly athletic. I was never involved in any sports, or team sports. When I was about 16 years old I felt I wanted to get in better shape so I began running. After I became a running fanatic and dropped some weight, I began running as part of my high school's cross country team. A few years later I was introduced to Spinning. I fell in love with Spinning and decided to become an instructor! At 19 years old I began teaching spin classes and a couple years later I started weight training too. This led me to want to be more diverse in my instructing and I became Canfit Pro F.I.S certified. I vary up my own training every week between cardio, spinning, and resistance training and feel stronger and more confident each and every day!

I think that quite often, women feel they don't need to be strong, and we are told it is the ideal to be thin and petite. We come in all shapes and sizes, and I believe women need to embrace whatever shape they have and try to get in the best shape for their body type. Bootcamp style training does not mean losing your femininity or your curves- it means the exact opposite! It means shaping your body so that your curves are front and centre! That's what BootyCamp's all about, after all!

Embrace Your Body

I love working out and staying in shape! I believe that everything needs to be in moderation, too much of anything is not good (and that includes exercise!) but it's important to take care of your body, and your heart. I believe in eating right and exercising as part of a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Being fit is not a yo-yo lifestyle for me, but rather something I have committed to for a lifetime.

I love empowering women! We need to embrace our bodies and our abilities! I love pushing people to see that they can accomplish far more than expectations. I love it when my participants thank me for working them hard and allowing them to have fun too!

Outside of Booty Camp

I love to spin, run, hike, weight/circuit train, and will try anything once! I try to take any and every opportunity to be active whether it's taking the stairs instead of an elevator, or walking from the back of a parking lot ( when it's not TOO cold, of course!) I have participated in several half-marathons over the last 5 years, as well as other “fun-runs”. I am itching to run a full marathon one day, and I also want to work towards a fitness competition one day!

Currently, I am a volunteer for a local tv show on Rogers TV York Region as a reporter. I love news, entertainment news, pop culture and music. I studied Journalism at Ryerson University, and have always worked in fitness on the side. I love watching movies, hanging out with friends, cooking, baking, (and eating of course) I am a fashionista and love to shop! I also enjoy going to lounges and bars, and restaurants with friends.
