Hey Ladies,
A lifelong love for health and fitness has lead me to be your Downtown Toronto Booty Camp Instructor and I couldn`t be happier about it! I’m currently in my clinical year of Chiropractic College pursuing my Doctor of Chiropractic. I graduated from McMaster University with my HBSc (Kinesiology) and a minor in biology, exploring all aspects of health and wellness in the process. I am a Certified Kinesiologist, a Can-Fit Pro Certified Personal Trainer and am PADI certified to scuba dive. I also hold my health care professional CPR/First Aid certification.
I was fortunate enough to be one of the lucky recruits chosen to go to Puerto Rico to film the 2011 Booty Camp Fitness DVD, which is among my most beloved fitness experiences. I am so grateful to the Booty Camp Fitness team, who made that experience about so much more than just exercise. After giving it our all and throwing ourselves whole heartedly into the Booty Camp Fitness culture, it only felt right to join the team in a new capacity as an Instructor.
Fitness is a part of who I am. I owe my passion for fitness to my family who instilled healthy practices in me since I was a child. I played many sports growing up, but volleyball stole my heart. It taught me: dedication, hard work, loyalty, respect, team work, and above all, to have fun and learn from all experiences whether good or bad. Booty Camp Fitness encompasses all of these characteristics and applies it to beautiful, willing, and strong women. I am thrilled to have the honour of passing the lessons I’ve learned through health and fitness onto the next generation of recruits, while at the same time conquering an amazing workout! It is for these reasons that I want to be a Booty Camp Instructor, to support women in reaching their goals, fitness or otherwise.
Women’s health intrigues me. So many of us ladies are programmed to be superwomen. Between work, family, friends, events, and the drive to exceed expectations, there often isn’t enough time to take care of ourselves. Fitness plays a strong role in community and support, belonging and self-esteem. Taking control of our bodies is one step in becoming confident, and doing so in a group promotes a special bond between women that can sometimes be hard to come by.
My personal philosophy of fitness is that if you are good to your body, your body will be good to you. If you have a good relationship with your body with regards to nutrition, relaxation, work and exercise, your body will never feel better. When it comes to fitness, like many instances, if you give a little you get much more back in return.
I enjoy playing volleyball, doing yoga, cycling, and hiking...preferrably while travelling! Outside of fitness, I enjoy treating people as a chiropractic intern, going out with friends, bowling, movies and pretty much anything to do with animals.
