My name is Darcie Ewel, I am a Certified Fitness Trainer through International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). I am also certified in emergency first aid and CPR Level C.
As a fitness enthusiast I have managed to turn my working out habits into consistent weekly workouts all year long! From the time I began fitness outside growing up, especially gymnastics and soccer, I loved being outside and being active. I have been searching for the secrets to long lasting results that I could gain through a healthy workout routine. I have done moderate to heavy weight lifting with a cardio routine which I seen good results from. However it wasn't until I started circuit training and attending boot camp classes that I began to see life changes resolve. The reason for this is that the variations to the routines kept me interested, they kept my body guessing. When your body has to guess, you start seeing results. I began to get excited to join other women for boot camp training. It's a whole new world of motivation. I wasn't working out alone anymore; I had the support that kept me going.
My passion for women's fitness is simple. Women enjoy other women. We are all passionate about getting in shape, and women tend to feel comfortable together in a boot camp atmosphere. I like that, and I hope you will too. We are dedicated, but the great thing about being able to work out with other women together is that you have a whole group to laugh with, and to look forward to your next workout with. We all come out for the same reasons - to reach our individual goals without judgment. My passion is success. I never want you to go home feeling like you didn't get an amazing workout. I want you to succeed.
My philosophy on fitness is that the more you understand, whether that be new and exciting exercises or learning to take your fitness to new intensity's, the more you attend classes and the more boot camp becomes a reality of your world, the more you will mentally and physically be prepared to make fitness a life-long quest of yours. Why stop when you reach your first goal? Make a new goal, and continue. I look forward to instructing booty camps because they provide fresh ideas for women. They are fun, they are exciting, and this attitude about fitness keeps women positive. If you're positive you're more likely to succeed.
I have many athletic hobbies. I love running. I love listening to my ipod and running familiar routes. I love sprinting. I love running stairs. I am an endurance trainer. I train for my heart and my lungs. Boot camp is all about "go, go, go." That's what I enjoy, I am fast paced! I like to move from one exercise to another. You can also find me in yoga and pilates classes. I lift weights in the gym and really enjoy butt and abs fitness classes. I am serious about my fitness goals and spend much of my time revolved around achieving my goals for health benefits and just a personal desire to be fit.
For fun I like to read novels. I am a song writer and a poem writer. I watch horror and romantic comedy movies. Career-wise, I am interested in furthering my education in fitness. I am considering martial arts conditioning. I spent the past three years kickboxing at local clubs. I have discovered Booty Camp Fitness and I am so eager to get started and there is awesome music to keep us motivated, too!
